A/V: Audio/visual support such as television, monitors, radios, or taped music.
ACCESS PANEL: Removable panel or section of an exhibit which permits access to lamps, projector mechanisms, etc.
ADVANCED ORDER: Goods and/or services ordered prior to the published deadline date.
ADVANCED WAREHOUSE: Service contractor facility designated for warehouse received prior to the tradeshow move-in date.
ADVISORY CAPACITY: A term indicating that a shipper's agent or representative is not empowered to make definitive decisions or adjustments without approval of the group or individual represented.
AGENT: Any bonafide representative with proper credentials from the party represented.
AIR WAYBILL: A bill of lading (B/L)which covers both domestic and international flights transporting goods to a specified destination.
AIRFREIGHT: Materials shipped via airplane.
AISLE: Area for audience traffic movement.
AISLE CARPET: Carpeting laid in the aisles.
AISLE SIGNS: Signs, usually suspended,indicating aisle numbers or letters.
ANCHORS: Devices used to stabilize operating equipment. Involved drilling into the floor.
ARCH: A display ceiling which spans two points.
ASSEMBLY: The process of erecting display component parts into a complete exhibit.
ASSOCIATION: An organziation of people sharing a common interest.
ASSOCIATION AGREEMENT: Union contract negotiated by a group of employers through an employer's association with the union representing their employees.
AT-SITE: Location of event or exhibit. More commonly called on-site.
AUDIT: A verification of attendance figures submitted by show organizer. Can be done internally, but more likely to be conducted by an independent firm.
AV: Audio/visual support such as television, monitors, radios, or taped music.
AV CONTRACTOR: Official supplier of audiovisual equipment and services.
