Hargrove joined ASAE as a co-creator to design, build and launch XDP – a new event format that provided an engaging and collaborative experience developed specifically for their association meeting professionals audience. As the event general contractor, Hargrove was responsible for conceiving, fabricating and delivering the layout and design for all event spaces, décor, lighting, audio/video, run of show production and stage management, signage and set-up.
Hargrove imagined and built a holistic event environment that became an immersive experience for attendees. Highlights included: mobile registration carts, a massive spoke-and-wheel lab for presentations that featured a 360-degree circular projection screen, and the “business exchange” for networking, meetings, and other activities.
The Lab space was transformed into a vibrant and inspiring environment where 1,816 association meeting professionals and industry partners listened to keynotes and discussed meeting challenges and successes. Attendees were amazed by how the radio earbuds and video screen allowed for five stage speakers to concurrently present in the same room without interference. In the Business Exchange hall 3,125 one-on-one appointments were booked with 130 industry partners.
