Marriott and PCMA teamed up to dive deep into the 5 experiential trends for “The Future of Meetings & Events” and then challenged Hargrove to not only deliver a compelling engagement strategy, but to design and execute immersive and interactive experiences for each of these trends (emotional intelligence, orchestrated serendipity, multimodal design, ’bigger than oneself,’ and clear sense of place).

Our Creative Strategy team developed tangible ways for these trends to surprise and delight Marriott’s attendees. For example, during registration on-site sketch artists secretly illustrated attendees, whereby they would later recognize themselves on a screen during a “ted-style” talk on emotional intelligence. Learning labs allowed attendees to go deep and gain insights into their own mindsets and, in turn, into their collaborative super-powers! Floor to ceiling screens, splashy backdrops, ball pits and selfie corners left attendees exclaiming, “you just had to be there!”.

SUCCESS! This program was so well received that Marriott’s leadership elected to roll it out in two other locations for the Denver 2019 Corporate Partners Conference and the, planned, San Francisco 2020 PCMA Convening Leaders Summit!
